Web Infrastructure Management made easy with Terraform

May 26, 2019, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Are you tired of having to manage your web infrastructure manually, using custom scripts, and being blocked in one ecosystem? Then come to this talk: Alexandre will show the light side of the force, so you will become an Infrastructure As Code Jedi, and impress everybody at your next family dinner!

Prerequisite
Attendees should bring a computer with Docker and Terraform installed (https://www.terraform.io/). During the first part of the workshop, you will deploy Docker containers on your local machine. Then, Alexandre will provide you an access to an OpenStack based cloud, so you would be able to deploy virtual machines and run containers online. The end result will be something looking like one of Alexandre's open-source projects: https://github.com/arugifa/klougle
Also, you should have a basic but solid knowledge about Docker, especially how to link containers together, and how to use Docker volumes. Some knowledge about OpenStack is a plus, but not required.
